POPDB

Provincial Outreach Program for Students with Deafblindness

Professional Development

As part of the POPDB Mandate, the team provides in-service and training to staff members who are currently working with a BC student with deafblindness that receives support from POPDB. This in-service / training can be in any the following formats:

  • Professional development within districts, staff training, on-the-job training of support workers. If you are interested, contact your POPDB Consultant

  • Deafblind Intervention Certificate Program offered in conjunction with Richmond Continuing Education (RCE). Please check out the latest information on our website here

  • POPDB Annual Conference. Please check out the latest information on our website here

All of the above, with the exception of the RCE courses, are offered at no cost. The majority of the tuition fees related to the Deafblind Intervention Certificate Program pay RCE for the cost of registration and transcripts, with the remaining money used by POPDB to pay for materials/resources used in the courses.
