Provincial Outreach Program for Students with Deafblindness

Service Providers

The BC Provincial Outreach Programs, under the Inclusive Education Branch of the Ministry of Education, provide support to students with unique learning needs. The following POP programs also support students with deafblindness. School teams and families will find valuable them for Home Learning on their websites. The Provincial Resource Centre for the Visually Impaired created a page on their website that is devoted to Staying Connected While We Are #TogetherApart. On their page, you will find information on Connections & Resources, Online Learning, Digital Accessible Learning Content, and Online Events and Programs.

The Provincial Outreach Program for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing gathered resources to support Continuity of Learning for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. 

 

 

 

ARC - BC

 

The Accessible Resource Centre of BC is a great online source for e-Text and ebooks for learners in BC. Check their website often, as new titles are added.

Visit the Canadian National Institute for the Blind - BC & Yukon Chapter for events and information that families may find helpful. CNIB expanded its Virtual Program Offerings during this time of Covid-19.
